Today, we went hiking with the dog group on a new trail to the Top of the World. It was a long enduring hike (6 miles roundtrip) but it was a good workout and provided great views. This is a view of Laguna Beach.

This is also the first time I am using the pet carrier backpack. It did come in handy because little Scarlett need to be carried alot. There were a few hills on this hike and poor Kunu was tired going uphill. But, he didn't like to be in the backpack. I think Scarlett eventually realized that it was good to be in there even though she didn't like being inside at first. She didn't want to stay in there when we tried it at home. On the other hand, Kunu was fine being inside at home but was not having any of it in the backpack. He didn't like that the backpack moved and it might be my fault when I started him on trying to roll it first instead of carrying it.
At the top of the world, there is a park with playground and tennis courts. We stopped there to rest, snack, and let the dogs cool off.
